How do I create and manage product drops?

Product drops can help you maximize customer interest in bundled or high-demand products.

The most interesting aspect we've been able to see with early businesses using product drops is that they've been able to gauge customer demand and preferences faster than their competitors to launch future products backed by data.

We're now bringing this technology to every single business on the Billgang platform. If you weren't aware, we made the commitment to every business that we'd help them unlock an unfair competitive advantage. We're one step closer to that with product drops.

To create your first product drop, you'll want to follow the steps below:

  • When you're creating your drop, we recommend a unique title if you're bundling products together or simply something that fits your marketing material (i.e. Exclusive Multiple Products).

  • If your business sees high-volume interactions within a short period, we recommend limiting spots based on those interactions (i.e. if you're selling out to thousands, try limiting the drop to a few hundred).

This is an example of how this drop would look when it has limited spots available on your website:

  • To build a sense of urgency, you'll also be able to set a customized drop date when it first drops (note: there will be a powerful "soon" badge on your website drop section):

This is an example of how this drop would look when not live on your website:

  • With requirements, you can set minimum order and revenue thresholds (i.e. customers will be required to have a total of 10 orders and $100.00 in total spend to join this specific drop) to maximize loyalty rewards for your customers.

This is an example of how this drop would look when requiring an order or revenue threshold on your website:

  • After customizing the drop to fit your marketing material, you'll be prompted to select a product variant. As of this moment, you can only drop a single product. You'll be able to add more drops through your website builder.

  • When you've selected a product variant, you'll then be prompted to enter a drop price. This price will be the total price of this drop, reducing the price of the product.
