• Forebit API Key
• Forebit Business ID
Step 1: Create a Forebit wallet
Visit https://app.forebit.io/wallet/ and follow the instructions to generate your non-custodial wallet. When you create a non-custodial wallet on Forebit, they deliver a mnemonic seed phrase. You'll want to store your seed phrase securely, as it cannot be recovered.
Step 2: Set up a payments account
Go to https://app.forebit.io/payments/ to create a payments account linked to your wallet. This enables you to receive crypto payments at checkout.
Step 3: Generate an API key
Go to https://app.forebit.io/account/settings/developer and click "Generate API Key." You can name it "Billgang" and select "No expiration" as the expiration date.
Step 4: Copy your Business ID
Your Business ID is located at https://app.forebit.io/payments/settings/developer. Copy this Business ID as you'll need to paste this via your Billgang dashboard.
Step 5: Connect to Billgang
Once you connect your Forebit payout wallet to your Billgang account, Forebit will generate new addresses at checkout on your behalf at scale.
Log in to your Billgang business dashboard.
Navigate to Shop Settings > Payments.
Click "Enable Forebit" then "Add New Account".
Paste your API Key and Business ID into the fields provided.
Click "Save Settings".
That's it! Forebit is now connected to your Billgang business. You can toggle the "Enable for all products" to automatically enable Forebit as an option at checkout, where your customers can begin sending crypto payments immediately.
As a reminder, Billgang never has access to your seed phrase and we'd be unable to recover it if you do lose it. That's the tradeoff with this cryptocurrency processor partnership. You own your wallet and the associated task with keeping it secure.
